Michael Rohwer, M.D.

CEO & Founder
In 1996 Mike Rohwer combined his experience as a physician and a technology development engineer to found PH Tech. As PH Tech CEO, Mike Rohwer provides the vision for the company's development of easy-to-use products that add value to the health care organizations they serve.

Mike's breadth of experience puts him in a unique position to understand how technology can address care management issues and support provider-driven decision-making.

Mike got his start as a development engineer at the University of Minnesota and after a stint in technology development at AT&T, went to medical school. After completing his studies Mike practiced medicine for nearly two decades as a partner of a successful medical clinic in Salem, Oregon. While at the clinic Mike was instrumental in developing and installing an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system long before they were widely available. Mike also served as Medical Division Chair of the area's regional hospital and as Chair of Clinical Informatics. As Medical Director and Chief Information Officer of Mid-Valley Independent Physicians Association, Mike developed information systems infrastructure and a medical management department for the 455 member association.

Mike is a trustee of the Board of the Oregon Medical Association and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Physicians Association of America. He is active in the Disease Management Association of America, the Medical Informatics Association, the American College of Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives.
